So far in art class I have finished a piece that I call, “Eye City” I called it this because I added a city “in” the eye. In this piece I took risks, when I first found the source that inspired me, I wasn’t sure if I could draw anything close to it. I took a big step by trying to do the drawing but I also took other risks in the drawing. I added color in the center of the eye and was not sure if it would look good. I took a risk in the style of the art, like I said before I had never really drawn anything like it and was nervous as to what it would turn out to be. In the end, I think all of these risks made my artwork better and more unique than the site that I used for inspiration. Right now in the classroom, I am finishing up an art piece and I am in the process of making a new one. I am excited as to how those two will turn out to look like as well. (shown below is the piece that I have just finished, I used a double border with a one inch outer border)
