For all of my artwork so far this quarter, I am working on the studio habit, Creating Original Art. In the picture on the left, I used spray bottles with colorful water and paint. I tried to use colors that really popped with each other to give it a bolder look. After I picked out my colors, I sprayed paint so that the same colors were not next to each other. I also made sure that there was some standing water paint on the paper to I would add the blending in later. After I sprayed all of the colors I wanted on the paper I put the artwork over the sink and held the paper vertically so the standing paint would run down the paper mixing it and creating a dripping effect. I discovered this on my own when I was experimenting for a different project and ended up really liking it. I feel that color is strongly used in this piece of artwork because I have dull (dark) colors shown in some areas and bright (fun) colors used to make the colors stand out more. Two words to describe my artwork would have to be unique and creative. I think this because I have not done a painting using the spray and really like it.
